Basics about UMA2 :
Rules about the UMA Materials for the UMA Slots and the UMA Overlays
What are the DK UMA Elements and rules about them :
A DK UMA element is a blueprint of a UMA element. A DK UMA element (slot or overlay) is nothing without the UMA element it is made to control.
It requires a UMA Element to be ready to work with UMA2 as a UMA Slot for the mesh and as UMA Overlay for textures.
It offers a lot of options to use a UMA2 element without writing any line of code, to merge them, to hide them and more, depending on the settings you apply to the DK UMA elements.
Use the 'Elements Manager' window to list all UMA and DK UMA elements from your project, also to build the DK UMA databases and the current scene libraries and to create a DK UMA element (blueprint) from a UMA2 element.
For the Premium users, a complete editor is avalable to import the UMA content using different ways such as reading UMA recipes to help you to setup the DK UMA elements, saving your time.
The original UMA2 element will be linked to the DK UMA Element, if the UMA original Slot or Overlay is removed or missing, the corresponding DK UMA element will be useless.
Both need to have the same internal name, so do NOT modify the internal name, SlotName variable for a slot, OverlayName variable for an overlay.
You can duplicate the DK UMA elements to make variation of them, in that case, do NOT modify the internal name as mentionned previously, but just the asset file's name in the project.
The Elements Manager displays the name of the asset file, not the SlotName or the OverlayName used internally by the UMA engine as string or namehash (string converted to integer, that is not your business).
