You can easily assign some weapon or shield to the AI characters.
Select and open the AI character using the hierarchy window. Select and open its Child 'New UMA Model (Rename it)'. Add a weapon or shield object into the 'Weapons' child object.
Now reselect the 'New UMA Model (Rename it)'. Look for its 'DK_Invector_WeaponManager' component. Open the 'Invector Handled' class. assign a weapon from the 'Weapons' child to the Right or left Handled variable. assign a shield from the 'Weapons' child to the Right or left Forearm variable.
the equipment will be place at the corresponding place at runtime.
