Rules About the UMA Materials : Any UMA slot and overlay requires a UMA Material. The UMA Slot and its UMA Overlay require to have the same UMA Material. UMA is actually offering the possibility to choose between 2 kinds of UMA Material : the Legacy or the PBR. The Legacy UMA Material : 'UMALegacy' is built with 2 texture channels : Diffuse and Normal. The PBR UMA Materials : 'UMA_Diffuse_Normal_Metallic' and 'UMA_Cutout_Diffuse_Normal_Metallic' is built with 3 channels : Albedo (Diffuse can hold the place), Metallic (also used as roughness) and Normal. A UMA2 Slot and its corresponding UMA2 Overlay need to have the same UMA Material, or you will get an error 'Slot 'x' and Overlay 'z' don't have the same Material. follow the link to learn how to fixe it. The default UMA materials for UMA2 are 'UMA_Diffuse_Normal_Metallic', 'UMA_Cutout_Diffuse_Normal_Metallic' and 'UMA_Fade_Diffuse'. To verify or modify the UMA Material of a UMA2 element, select it using the Elements Manager, then edit it using the hierarchy window. You can Duplicate the default UMA Materials to modify them about shaders. Be sur to assign the same UMA Material to the UMA2 slot and its UMA2 overlay.
